    Hey!

    I feel like this would be a good time to mention that I feel like we should introduce a rank similar to trusted. For example: super user.

    Possible perks?

    1. Of course, a super cool rank.
    2. Top priority (when it comes to applications?).
    3. A userbar (depends if this will be made or not).
    4. Getting their own section where they can talk to other people will the exact same rank.

    Why should we introduce this?

    1. Increase the amount of good quality posting, and an excellent alternative to awards as awards aren't a feasible idea since it's broken.
    2. People will be encouraged to post more actively, therefore increasing productivity.
    3. Increased productivity= more users are more likely to join.

    Possible criteria?

    Well, it could be anything really, up to staff.

    1. A certain amount of posts within a given time?
    2. A certain amount of reputation within a given time?
    3. Good community standing?
    4. No warning points, sets exemplary behavior?

    What do you think of this idea?

    I disagree, if we start introducing them now, then user activity may start increasing and that's what we're aiming for, especially if the forum is new because lots of activity= more users are tempted to join.

    Hi, this should help newcomers on the forum. This will just go over the basics of Solero and how to do basic things on this forum. I'll include the very basics as one spoiler.

    The very basics.

    a) Adding a profile picture. 

    Click on your profile, and then click on the small icon near your profile picture.

    From there, you can upload a picture from your computer or by using a link (imgur).

    b) How to make a private message. 

    Click on the private message button located on the top right of your screen.

    Add the subject, message, and to it's for, and then click send, simple!

    c) Make and reply to topics.

    Of course, the very basics, how to make a topic!

    Click on the section where you want to make a post, and then click start new topic.

    Replying to posts are just as simple, click on the post you want to reply to and scroll down until you see the box where you can type. Very simple.

    d) How to earn community reputation.

    Community rep is given by other people, and they'll up-vote if the quality of your content is good, or if they simply, just like your post. 

    You can up-vote simply by going to a post and seeing the somewhat hidden  'like this' button.

    1. Status updates.

    2. How to fill in the 'about me' section and add your Github.

    Click on your profile, and then click on 'edit profile'.

    You should now be able to fill in the 'about me' section and enter your programming languages + github account.

    When you've successfully done that, you should be able to see the github icon on your profile.

    3. Reporting a player.

    c) How to report a player.

    See someone who's breaking the community guidelines? Report them!

    Find exactly which post it is where they've broken the rules (in this case I'll use Leo as an example).

    From there, you can write a message of what they've done wrong and then just click send.
